Hello, I’m Lara!
I’m Geelong born and raised, and continue to build my life and raise my own children here. Being a lactation consultant and a midwife is not just a profession; it's a personal calling fuelled by my own experiences.
After welcoming my first baby, I encountered the challenges so many mothers face - damaged nipples, low weight gains, and breast refusal. Each hurdle felt like it could derail the beautiful breastfeeding journey I had envisioned. It was during these moments that my passion for supporting mothers and infants on their breastfeeding path was truly ignited.
I spent my second pregnancy training with the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) and volunteering on their national helpline - something I continue to do, to this day. Since then, I’ve successfully sat the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) exam, achieving the gold standard in lactation care and officially became a Lactation Consultant. This prestigious certification enhances my ability to provide comprehensive support on your breastfeeding journey.
I am so excited that alongside my cherished role as a hospital midwife I can now offer a range of face-to-face, phone and virtual lactation consultations. Whether you’re a new mum seeking guidance or an experienced mother facing challenges, I am here to offer compassionate and knowledgeable support on your breastfeeding journey.
